During this two-week rush process, you will be able to meet our members, learn about the professional opportunities and academic resources that AED provides, and see if AED is the right fit for you. AED holds rush events only in the fall semester; rushees must attend all rush events.

RUSH REQUIREMENTS
Be a current Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor
Plan to enter the healthcare field (Pre-Med, Pre-PA, Pre-Dent, Pre-Vet, Nursing, Pre-Pharm, Public Health, etc.)
Have a minimum overall GPA of 3.3, and a minimum Math/Science GPA of 3.3 (see list of Math/Science classes and use this GPA calculator)
Not have plans to go abroad for the Fall 2026 semester nor Winter 2027 semester
Attend all rush events and complete the application by the deadline, September 11th, 2026 @11:59 PM

MASS MEETINGS
What? Mass Meetings are your chance to get to know what AED is all about! During the meeting, we will discuss information regarding what AED is, the resources AED provides, and personal reflections from members. After the presentation, you will have a chance to speak with our members and ask any questions you may have.
Who can attend? Anyone!
When? You have two chances to join us at a mass meeting, but please only attend one. The information presented will be the same at both. Meetings will be held on Tuesday, September 8th from 8:00-10:00 PM, and Thursday, September 10th from 8:00-10:00 PM.
Where? Palmer Commons, Forum Hall
Dress Code? Anything you are comfortable in!
Meet & greet
What? Meet and Greet is a casual event where you can meet and begin to form connections with our members. We are interested in getting to know who all of you are and what led you to our professional organization. Conversations are not limited to healthcare-related topics, but we are always interested in hearing about your experiences.
Who can attend? Anyone!
When? Friday, September 11th
5:30-7PM: Sophomores & Juniors
7-8:30PM: Freshmen & Transfers
Where? 723 McKinley Avenue
Dress Code? Anything you are comfortable in!
APPLICAtionS
What? Applications include a variety of questions about yourself and your goals to help us get to know you better as an applicant. Applications are required to be considered in the rush process for Alpha Epsilon Delta. We do not accept late applications.

When? Applications are due Friday, September 11th @11:59 PM
SPEED DATING
What? During this event, you will have the chance to “speed date” three AED members. These dates will help members get to know you more personally through some fun questions.
Who can attend? Anyone!
When? Sunday, September 13th from 2:30-5:30 PM. You will be assigned a specific half-hour session to attend.
Where? Psych Atrium
What do I wear? Anything you are comfortable in!
DEI EVENT
What? The goal of this event is to share with you the importance of DEI in our AED chapter. You will have the chance to participate in a small-group discussion with AED members and other rushees, covering DEI topics and issues in the healthcare field. Please be respectful of the speaker and your peers, put your phones away, and listen intently to all perspectives presented.

When? Monday, September 15th. There will be two separate sessions, from 6:00-7:00 PM (last names A-M) and from 7:00-8:00 PM (last names N-Z). Please only attend one.
Where? Palmer Commons, Great Lakes
What do I wear? Anything you are comfortable in!
INTERVIEWS
What? Interviews are our chance to get to know you in a professional setting! There will be a professional interview portion, a social portion, and a teamwork portion focused on collaboration with your fellow rushees.
Who can attend? Invitation Only
When? Monday, September 21st and Thursday, September 24th, from 5:30-9:30 PM. Students will be assigned an interview time slot during one of these dates. If you are invited to join us for interviews, details will be provided closer to the event date.
What do I wear? Professional attire
MINglE wIth MEMBERS
What? Mingle with Members is a casual event and is the last opportunity for students to connect with our members and other rushees before we make decisions regarding bids.
Who can attend? Invitation Only
When? Sunday, September 27th. There will be three separate sessions, from 11:30-12:30 PM, from 12:30-1:30PM and from 1:30-2:30 PM. Please only attend one.
What do I wear? Anything you are comfortable in!
